First time here and I loved it. Definitely will be back. We were given plenty of samples, including their cakes and coffee! The staff was incredibly attentive and sweet. Everything tasted great ( we got breakfast tacos, coffee, pastries and cake, all of which i recommend). My new favorite spot.
Excellent attention
Awesome bakery with a modern earth tone interior. Lively ambieant music. The fresh baked pastries are displayed beautifully with a nice assortment of classic and savory bakedgoods. I ordered the iced tres leches latte, iced cinnamon coffee, chicken mole torta and vegetarian chorizo torta. They were delicious!
Bread is awesome a little pricey but so good the only bad thing is that this monarca doesn't have a lot of variety of bread, could be because they're still fairly new hopefully in a near future they have a bigger variety like other monarca I've been to the café de olla is so good and sweet you really don't have to add much sugar to it. I was going to get an horchata cake because they gave me a sample to taste and it was delicious but they didn't have any big cake left just individual slices so I ended up getting a tres leches cake and my family and I loved it but next time I'm going to try to get the horchata cake. I usually park at the back of the 99 cent store it's an ok spacious parking lot.
A spacious and friendly bakery and coffee shop that just opened in Lincoln Heights. I went on the first day, but was pleased by the friendliness of the staff and the free samples. La Monarca is best know for it's pastries: they are really good and there are lots of options.
The banana pudding is worth the trip, not their cupcakes which were dry. I prefer Sprinkles.
I have been ordering cakes from here for years and I am extremely happy with all the taste and they have also great pastries and extremely tasty sandwiches there a marble cake is my favorite
I come here once in a while for their mocha cake which taste delicious. Also their flan taste great! Not a huge fan on their prices since they're a bit pricey but to treat myself once in a while it's worth it. they also have a buy one cake get one free during 2pm-5pm.
Their special house coffee was hot and flavorful. ☕ The cookies were delightfully crisp ðŸªand the environment was family friendly.👨â€ðŸ‘¦â€ðŸ‘¦ðŸ‘¨â€ðŸ‘©â€ðŸ‘§ðŸ‘µ I enjoyed my stop in and will be back for more cookies!
I work here lol
Love this place! So happy to see that Lincoln Heights finally has a decent coffee and bakery shop.
Extremely cordial and kind staff that put a smile on your face any mornings! And good coffee
Great pan dulce in a very warm and inviting atmosphere. This is a great addition to the community of Linciln Heights. Try the cafe de la goya, it is great!
Very clean! They gave us free samples of a bunch of stuff they had. Really friendly. Wide range of cakes and sweet breads. Would come again
A very inviting, modern and cool bakery-coffee shop combo, with excellent costumer service, freshly-made delicious Mexican pastries and a wonderful menu of food and coffee drinks. I personally love their "cafe de olla," a Mexican style "pot coffee" with cinnamon flavor and sweetened with brown sugar, and their Cafe Oaxaca, which is a Mexican hot chocolate plus espresso. My favorites pastries are the "trenzas" of cheese and jalapenos and "cuernos" of guava. I've also tried and recommend their vegetarian Mollete Chorizo among the meals they have for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The place is impecable and spacious, with several tables for eating in. They always have a good mix of music playing and also free wi-fi. This Lincoln Heights bakery/cafe may be among the most spacious of La Monarca's many locations in the L.A. region.
Coffee is good, lots of pastry options, and a large seating area with good AC. They do seem understaffed. Usually just one cashier and one barista so sometimes it's taken 25 minutes to stop in and get a coffee to go.
Very tasty I recommend everything
Love this bakery! Great treats and I even got authentic Mexican hot chocolate made with almond milk! 🙌ðŸ¾
Core values of dedication, humility make this place special.
Great for Mexican pastries and coffee. Clean, bright neighborhood bakery.
Such kind and genuine friendly guest service. The quality is superior than your local coffee shop. All I can say is stop by before a busy day at work because once you experience their quality of foods and drinks it will definitely make your day great and make your coffee break a true break.
Very nice Mexican Bakery, many options, lots of pastries, they also have Mexican sandwiches and tacos. Good variety of coffees. The staff is super friendly, their motto is "we want to make you feel at home"... They offer samples if you can't decide what to order. As far as taste it's overall average, but nice enough to come back!
OMG! This place is my new treat YOSELF coffee shop. I got the Mexican Hot Chocolate with a shot of espresso and it was EVERYTHING! The chocolate was thick and so flavorful. Not too sweet. I also love the chicken mole tacos. If you're in the mood for good coffee, Pan Dulce, and maybe a taco on the side, come here!
I really enjoy the café de olla. The only issue I have is that this cups they give are messy. Even with a stopper the cups still leak. I know it's just lovely a manufacture defect but this always happens when I buy my coffee. Today I decided to try the tiramisu but feel sorry of excitement. It was very dry in comparison to what a real tiramisu should be. The flavor wasn't all there either. I ended up throwing mostly all of it in the trash. Oh well, I guess that's what I get for taking a risk on untraditional tiramisu.
Best Bakery in LA, this is a wonderful new place that just opened up in Lincoln heights, the service is amazing, the staff is very friendly and make you feel right at home, the bread is delicious, soft and fresh, you can see and taste the difference, you can tell they use good quality ingredients, I tried El cafe de la oya and it's been the best tasting cofee I have come across. I have visited this place with my husband and kids 4 different times, and every time it's a wonderful experience, the staff offers us samples, the enviernment is so calm and family oriented, we really enjoy coming here. I would highly recommend this bakery, I love sweet bread and have visited many panaderias across the LA area, this is the best in my opinion, if you're in the area stop by and try any of their pastries, you wont be disappointed. They also offer a good variety of organic items including teas.
Delicious products
cafe food, mmm, so good. You won't be disappointed in the menu and service. Looking forward to going back again.
Very good service and very delicious cakes and delicious cakes
I love their Kringle pastry and also their savory breakfast rolls are great too! Their rye bread is super dense and great quality. I highly recommend!
AWESOME!!!!!!!! Was in the area for work, craving a breakfast taco. Walked around a few blocks checking out other "highly rated" places on Google Maps. But was absolutely horrified at cleanliness of some of those places. I don't need food poisoning so I passes on those. 4th try was La Monarcha. This place is spectacular. This is the hispanic version of a Panera Bread...big bakery counters filled with BEAUTIFUL bakery items with a mexican flair. The lady behind the counter offered me a sample of the cakes and WOW...DELICIOUS! I left with two wonderful breakfast tacos and an AWESOME Mexican flavored mocha. Did not realize until later in the day that this was a chain of some sort when we passed another location. I REALLY wish they had a location in Denver where I'm from. Have not seen anything this good back home at all.
The snores cupcake was average the topping was great but the cake was dry and flavorless. The banana pudding was amazing so flavorful so delicious. The pudding is available in a range of sizes including large party size which is perfect for the office.
Delicious. Clean. Nothing better.
